Sullivan, in partnership with Architects DCA, is working with the Department of National Defense (DND) and Defense Construction Canada (DCC) on a 150,000-square-foot facility to support the Royal Canadian Air Force\u2019s Expeditionary Capability with a new infrastructure for 2 Air Expeditionary Wing in Bagotville, Quebec.<\/p>\n
The 2 Air Expeditionary Wing, created in 2007, is the RCAF\u2019s air expeditionary wing, a formation able to deploy rapidly as a self-contained unit, employing airpower and providing associated support wherever needed, across Canada or around the world.<\/p>\n
The new facility will be designed and constructed to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver standards. It will include design elements incorporating the Federal Government initiatives on sustainability using the Canadian Federal Sustainable Development Strategy and the Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change and will provide space to accommodate daily administrative operations, classrooms, workshops, storage, and warehousing space.<\/p>\n
